MAPUTO-bound passengers should be made aware that disruptions could occur in Mozambique's capital city today due to strikes as a result of increasing electricity and basic foodstuff prices.

A source in Maputo confirmed today that there was a general strike in the capital today, and that some airport transfers had been affected.

It is hoped the situation will return to normal by tomorrow.
