South Africa’s second oldest wine farm, Boschendal, is set to launch a new tented camp in March next year.
Situated in The Greater Simonsberg Conservancy, an area dedicated to responsible and sustainable agriculture, the seven luxury tents will be designed to blend into the surrounding scenery, featuring a spacious bedroom, bathroom and private deck that will allow guests to enjoy the scenic backdrop of the Simonsberg mountain range.
“Over and over again we see that guests thrive when they ‘live’ the Boschendal farm experience and the best way to do that is to connect with the vast landscape of mountains, rivers, farmland and conservation areas that make this biosphere so special,” says Matt Stevens, Estate Manager at Boschendal.
He says the tented camp will reinforce Boschendal’s philosophy of ‘living the farm’ by providing a transformative experience and an opportunity to disconnect from modern life while fostering a connection with the environment as well as the farm’s natural beauty. The estate’s outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, guided hikes and yoga, invite guests to explore the landscape even further.
