In our latest poll, readers chose safaris as the sector with the most growth potential – with 36% of the total votes.
This was followed closely by adventure tourism (29%) and cultural/heritage tourism (16%).
Sports tourism came in fourth (10%), followed by urban tourism (5%) and ‘other’ (4%).

Are you eyeing the South American market?
In May, Latin American carrier LATAM announced that it would restart its flights between São Paulo and Johannesburg on September 4.
Last week, South African Airways announced that it would also launch flights to the South American destination from both Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Cape Town flights will start on October 31, and the Johannesburg-São Paulo service will commence on November 6.
With this route opening up other possible destinations for travellers across South America and Africa, we want to know whether your business will actively pursue the South American market.
