Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Authority has announced that Swadini Nature Reserve beside the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve in Mpumalanga, will close from January to April due to the filming of a reality TV show. There will be partial and full closure of the Swadini Waterfall Trail and the Swadini Interpretation Centre as per the schedule below: From January 11-22 – partial exclusivity to the waterfall section of Swadini by the filming company during the set build and technical rigging phases. From January 23-March 15 – full exclusivity to Swadini Reserve from the entrance bridge during the shooting and live transmission of the reality series. March 16-April 10 – partial exclusivity to the waterfall section of Swadini Reserve during de-rigging and site restoration. The filming will be done in accordance with the Mpumalanga Nature Conservation Act No.10 of 1998 and other relevant national environmental legislation.
