Air France has launched a new route to Dar es Salaam, making it the carrier’s second flight to Tanzania.

The Dar es Salaam flight, which will be an extension of the Zanzibar service, will operate three times a week, using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 30 seats in business class, 21 in premium economy, and 225 in economy.

Flight AF876 departs from Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 10h20 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Zanzibar at 20h15. The flight departs Zanzibar at 22h45 and arrives in Dar es Salaam at 22h20. The return flight departs Dar es Salaam at 23h50 on the same days, and arrives at Paris-Charles de Gaulle at 07h55 the following day.

The new Dar es Salaam service brings the number of flights between Paris and Zanzibar to three flights per week, compared with two in 2022.

Air France has also increased its flights to Nairobi, which will now be served daily with direct flights in both directions using a Boeing 787-9. Currently there are six flights per week.

Air France has also increased flight frequencies to Antananarivo, Madagascar, offering five non-stop weekly flights instead of the current four. Flights to and from Madagascar will now be operated by an Airbus A350-900, configured with 34 seats in business class, 24 in premium economy and 266 in economy.
