The Tshwane Tourism Authority (TTA), based in Gauteng, has launched a new map-based website to promote international and local tourism.

The website provides a map of all tourism products that belong to the TTA and clearly illustrates where they are in relation to each other, allowing tour operators instant, accurate information when creating packages.

The website also allows users to request a personalised quote. The user provides their requirements and their information is sent directly to the relevant local industry members.

A list of local tour operators and travel agents is supplied and tourism products are broken down into places to stay, eat or play. A section called ‘How Cool’ provides useful tourism information about Tshwane, which the trade can use to market the destination.

The TTA invites the industry to send through relevant images of their clients enjoying Tshwane. These will be considered for inclusion on the website.
