Two-thirds of the 229 respondents (67%) voted ‘yes’, and 23% voted ‘no’. Just 10% responded ‘maybe’.

According to her, airlift has always been key to tourism growth in long-haul destinations like South Africa. “Airlift should NOT cost more than the rest of the tourism package (accommodation, activities, car hire, transfers etc), yet it often does, not because of ticket prices but because of surcharges and taxes that effectively double ticket prices in some cases.”
