Tourism businesses can generate income by promoting canvas wall art from online gallery, Savanna Fine Art.

The gallery features the work of professional wildlife and landscape photographers and sells it as fine art prints on canvas or paper. Through the affiliate programme, any tourism company can sign up at no cost and earn commission by promoting Savanna Fine Art’s range to their existing mailing list and social media followers.

He said the ideal market for the artworks was South Africa’s inbound markets. “It works best for tourism companies that already have databases of clients in the source markets.” He added that the interest from international markets had been significant.

Savanna Fine Art has partnered with professional printers in South Africa, the UK, Europe and the US to print and fulfil orders locally. “This reduces international shipping times and allows us to offer free shipping to most customers,” said Vegter, adding that a partnership with printers in Australia was also a possibility.

He said businesses could only gain from joining the affiliate programme. “The art works are premium quality and sell for several hundred dollars, so the commission tourism businesses receive is quite significant.”
