Tourism Update’s latest poll revealed gastronomy and sports tourism as the most promising niche growth sectors for tourism in southern Africa.
From 58 votes, 29% of readers said gastronomy had the most potential for growth, closely followed by sports tourism at 26%. An even spread of respondents chose avitourism (17%), voluntourism (14%) and medical tourism (14%).
