UPDATE: As of March 14, the F1 Joburg Festival is postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A new date has yet to be announced.
Tsogo Sun Hotels has partnered with Formula 1 and Heineken to accommodate the first ever F1 Joburg Festival on March 29 in Sandton.
The festival will feature Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and Renault Formula 1 teams.
Runners-up from the 2001 and 2019 F1 World Championships, David Coulthard and Valtteri Bottas, will be among the drivers racing cars through Sandton at the festival’s live car run.
“Sport is part of Tsogo Sun Hotels’ DNA and we are thrilled to be extending our support of sport from the rugby pitch, soccer field and hockey pitch on to the racetrack,” says Tsogo Sun Hotels COO, Ravi Nadasen.
