Botswana is cracking down on Airbnb owners in the main gateway to the Okavango Delta, Maun.

The Department of Tourism is raiding and closing down short-term rental properties, a government official confirmed. The owners are being charged for being in violation of the Tourism Act and/or operating illegal tourism enterprises.
