As demand for local summer holiday travel increases, Airlink has introduced midday Saturday and Sunday flights between Johannesburg and George. And more good news is that from December 11, these will be offered on a daily basis.
The extra midday flights are in addition to the early morning and late afternoon services introduced by Airlink on the route at the start of November.“With the extra flights, Airlink is able to provide the required capacity to meet increased demand,” explained Airlink CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster.
Domestic, regional and long-haul customers travelling to and from George will be able to conveniently connect through Airlink’s Johannesburg hub.
The carrier operates its modern Embraer E-Jets on the route. Customers have a choice of window or aisle, business-class or economy-class seats (there are no “middle” seats on any Airlink aircraft).
Economy-class fares include a 20kg free checked-in luggage allowance plus a 15kg sporting equipment allowance.
Business-class customers receive Airlink’s intra-continental premium service which includes a complimentary meal and beverages, a free 30kg check-in luggage allowance, free sporting equipment allowance, priority boarding and lounge access at selected airports.
