This week’s comment comes from Agostinella Ribero who commented on the letter to the editor sent in by director of African Soulstice, Alessandra Allerman.

Ribero commented on how now is the time for tour operators to step up and go the extra mile for guests, despite the challenges the industry is facing.

“Kudos for being so professional. In my opinion, we, as tour operators, should look after our guests even after their tour ends. Ethically and morally it is correct. Secondly, tourist guides are one of the most IMPORTANT components of a tour so they should ALWAYS be taken care of in a proper manner. It’s a pity some tour operators, hotels and lodges treat clients as second grade! I am SO glad to have a like-minded colleague in this beautiful Industry we’re in!”
