Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism recently hosted an engagement with the Minister of Tourism, Nkhensani Kubayi-Ngubane where the Kruger Lowveld Ehlanzeni presented her with a petition, in  which, amongst other things, the organisations suggested an improvement in communications and engagement between the private sector and government.

Following those engagements, the Kruger Lowveld Ehlanzeni Tourism, Satsa and the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency, will, together with other key tourism industry role players both in the province and nationally, host an Mpumalanga Tourism Stakeholders consultative Indaba.

The Indaba will focus on tourism safety; tourism transformation and the general state of tourism infrastructure, such as roads, the state attractions and tourism development in general.

  • Date: August 30-31
  • Time: 08h00-16h30
  • Venue: Winkler Hotel, White River

Several agreements are expected to come out of the Indaba, which will be officially signed on Tourism Day, September 21.
