We are looking for a motivated Sales Coordinator to support the We Are Africa show portfolio. Together, we stand united to demonstrate that Africa is not one story. Key Responsibilities 
 • Play a key administrative role in supporting the Sales Team in the exhibitor sales process • Assist sales executives/sales managers in the daily fulfilment of sales administration, including researching new leads and updating account details in Salesforce. • Contribute to maintaining new and existing customer relationships by being a point of contact for clients, who may need assistance with general queries, responding quickly and efficiently during busy times. • Communicate in a professional and friendly manner with applications via phone and email. • Assist with planning small events in terms of sourcing venues, invite lists, being point of contact. • Assist the sales team with general reporting and administration tasks. • Be the first point of call with all incoming applications to the event, manage their journey from start to finish – qualifying potential sales leads for the sales team and ensuring that the sales team is keeping accurate and up-to-date records. • Sourcing and generating new leads for the sales team. Keep up to date with potential lead sources for WAA, using magazines and online to source anything relevant. • If there is a need on site for the Sales Coordinator to attend, then to work on-site during the build-up period, during the show and breakdown of all the shows, actively helping clients with their on-site requirements. • On occasion, provide support with general administration for the Managing Director. • Assist in production of sales and marketing literature. • Administering the online system on the supplier side to facilitate on-line registrations, appointment matching and checking that all badges are printed correctly. Key Performance Indicators • Processing all required event administration quickly and accurately. • Responsible for maintaining an accurate event database with important attention to detail to ensure all show deliverables happen. • Sourcing and identifying fresh new relevant leads for the Sales teams – assisting the team in hitting the overall show revenue targets and keeping the show fresh with new companies. • Understand the qualities of what is a strong sales lead – get under the skin of the travel industry to understand the needs of our audience to be able to accurately identify potential leads for the event. • Responding quickly, professionally and efficiently to new and existing customer and internal queries. • Assist the sales team in compiling weekly sales reports, sent to the entire company.

Required Qualifications

Person Specification • Experience in a previous administration/coordinator role highly advantageous. • Experience working within a fast-paced exhibition environment or the world of hospitality would also be an advantage. • A level of understanding of an event sales cycles would be an advantage. • Knowledge of Certain and/or Salesforce advantageous. • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – especially excel. • High attention to detail when it comes to proof reading. • A real passion for the world of luxury hospitality/travel. • Desire to learn and develop salesmanship qualities - must be driven by personally achieving targets. • Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels. • Superb team player, capable of creating an environment of camaraderie around them. • Excellent time management and able to complete and resolve things quickly and efficiently. • Able to bring new ideas or suggestions for improvement to the table. • Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters. • Ability to filter information and assess priorities effectively. • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines- must be flexible as part of a small team. • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to professionally represent the company. • Proficiency in using Macs would be beneficial. • The role would suit someone with a strong ambition to advance within a sales role and specific industry and market knowledge (Luxury, Travel and Events) will be highly advantageous. If the need arises, willing to travel globally as required.
