Reporting to the International/STO Sales Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: • Answering of Sales department phones • Qualifying enquiries coming in and assigning them to the relevant sales team/person • Monitoring the STO inbox and making sure all enquiries are answered in a timely manner • Maintaining an accurate and up to date database of Tour Operator contracts; • Create profiles and rate codes for Tour Operators on the property management systems • Assisting the Sales Manager with creating proposals and contracts • Assisting Sales Manager with Site Inspections and Prospecting calls • Writing reports and creating presentations as requested by Sales Manager • Assisting with individual global account RFP process • Spearhead small sales projects, events and Action Plans along with the Sales Manager • Maintaining current sales and promotional literature and have a complete knowledge of hotel’s services and facilities • Organising meetings, this may include typing the agenda and taking minutes • Actively participates in prescribed sales training • As directed, assists with the compilation of competitive intelligence information • Attends all sales meetings • Attend trade shows as needed • Maintaining positive relationships with all guests, vendors, colleagues and global sales network • Assuming other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing

Required Qualifications

Qualifications • Sales experience in a hotel environment is an asset • Previous experience in a similar role • Minimum High School Diploma, Business School and/or Hotel School Diploma preferred. • Full proficiency in all office procedures and clerical duties • Computer experience at intermediate to advanced level is mandatory with knowledge of Spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Word, • Must be a strong team player, professional and enthusiastic with excellent organizational skills, creativity and be a self-starter • Must be able to work with a team • Must be able to prioritize, organize and be self-efficient. • To be flexible with time, in order to meet a busy sales department/guest needs requirement
