Channel Sales Account Manager

Join the Pangolin Photo Safaris team at our reservations headquarters in Gardens, Cape Town as a Channel Sales Account Manager. This exciting role requires a minimum 3-5 years experience in a senior sales role in the tourism industry. A passion for conservation, own transport, a great industry repertoire and willingness to travel are non-negotiable. Being a keen team player is key and having an interest in photography is an advantage. Your Role: • Ensure that Pangolin Photo Safaris is recognised as Africa’s premier photographic operator and highlight the unique selling points of the brand. • To develop and implement a sales strategy that will increase revenue from the channel partners ( i.e. tour operators & travel agents), through existing and new business development. • Supports the Sales Function, Marketing, Product, Reservations and Front Office Divisions for all Pangolin Photo Safaris properties • Has budget responsibility (setting budgets, sales plans and report on return on investment of all activities) • Setting STO rates and communicating with agents • Plan and conduct sales training (in person sales calls and virtually via webinar) regionally and internationally. • Keep a sales record of all sales activities in CRM and share trade insights with the team where required. • Attend networking events to amplify Pangolin Photo Safaris’ brand in the industry, contribute positively to the travel community and lift company profile within the market place. • Work closely with marketing team to produce newsworthy content and disseminate via assorted media channels • Manage trade association memberships, maximising associated opportunities. • Plan, manage and host site inspection / media visits / trade shows • Consistently stay abreast of industry trends, news and developments with an understanding of how these will impact Pangolin Photo Safaris. • Self-management: responsible for own performance but reporting directly to senior management. The salary is market-related with an above average basic, medical aid contributions, free onsite parking, international travel and incredible commission earning potential. Required Qualifications

MIN 4-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE IN THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY Excellent communication skills Superb organisational skills Decent computer literacy...techno joy...not techno fear! A passion for travel. A desire to make loads of money.
