Senior Travel Designer for Luxury Inbound Tour Operator

A great opportunity in the travel industry has become available for keen enthusiastic sales driven Travel Designers. Our company (listed on the JSE) is launching a new luxury inbound tour operator. We are looking to recruit Senior Travel Designers to join the sales team in providing advice to clients and successfully selling luxury holiday experiences. As Senior Travel Designer you will be driven to be the best and enjoy working in a client orientated sales environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Travel Designer to be rewarded for the work that they do. The applicant must have a proven track record of successfully selling luxury and experiential travel itineraries and reaching set targets with the focus on luxury service and accommodation across Southern, East and Central Africa. Experience Needed • Local and international experience in Travel Designing at a senior company level • Excellent continent wide geographical and first-hand sales experience is a must • Previous, recent tailor-made sales experience • High level of product and competitor knowledge • Booking high spend holidays • Knowledge and experience using Globetrack

Required Qualifications

Requirements • Grade 12 senior certificate, relevant tertiary education in travel and tourism is desirable • A minimum of three years' sales experience, within the luxury travel industry selling to FIT’s and agents • A proven track record of successfully selling luxury itineraries and reaching set targets • A Wealth of travel industry experience, within an independent tour operator • Excellent communication and literacy skills • Excellent listening skills • Target driven • Outcome orientated • Passionate about the travel industry • Personable, warm, friendly individual who is able to forge relationships and build rapport with clients easily Benefits • Sales based commission • Rebate flights for direct family • Flexible work environment

Responsibilities • Selling a full range of luxury travel products to ensure maximum sales and reaching set targets • Quoting holidays and converting these to high spend holiday bookings • Dealing with bespoke tailor-made bookings and itineraries from start to finish • Offering expert advice in all aspects of Travel • Understanding your client’s needs, in order to sell them the right travel product • Keeping your product and brand knowledge up to date while having in- dept knowledge of the company’s products and destinations • Providing excellent customer service • Completing relevant administration to complete the booking • Assisting with any other details clients may want • Working in a target driven environment • Assisting in training and the support of sales and administration team members
