Angama is looking for a highly-motivated Marketing Assistant Manager who: − Above all has an ability to grow a deep connection to our brand − Shows curiosity about the travel industry and strives to grow an understanding of how that affects the communication of our brand − Loves to tell stories − A fast learner on what ‘the voice of the business’ is – every communication to be thoughtfully considered − The Angama brand carries a high emotional touch and that needs to be communicated on every level − As a small owner-run business there is an expectation that everyone puts their shoulder to the wheel regardless of the task − Has a love for travel and is willing to spend between 12-16 weeks travelling per annum telling the Angama Mara story to the travel trade − Self-confidence and the ability to network as well as clearly articulate in both the written and spoken word are key − Has an understanding and respect of the travel trade supply chain, and how to communicate to these important trade partners − Is attentive to the very last detail with the proven ability to multi-task − Is goal orientated and performance driven − Can keep their sense of humour in the midst of a crisis − Understands that in a small hospitality business guest delight is everyone’s responsibility and that our business is 24/7 The successful candidate’s primary role will be to grow Angama Mara’s presence and reputation in current and emerging markets Day-to-day responsibilities include: − Travelling locally and abroad for one-on-one sales calls to the travel trade, as well as to the lodge itself − Attending trade shows representing Angama Mara − Managing relationships with trade partners − Managing Angama Mara’s database − Growing the Angama Mara brand through relationships, reputation and revenues

Required Qualifications

There are no formal qualification requirements, though candidates with any or all of the following will be at a distinct advantage: − High standards of written English − A tertiary education − Experience in Sales and Marketing in the luxury travel industry
