Last week we asked readers if they thought it was right to introduce visas for visitors from the other six high-risk countries – Italy, Germany, Spain, South Korea, the UK and the US.

  • Yes, if government moves as quickly to revoke it again.                                                       52%
  • No, these are some of our top markets and we need to make them feel welcome.    22%
  • Maybe, if this is effective in mitigating the COVID-19 impact.                                             26%

There were eight countries identified in President Cyril Ramaphosa’s address on March 15, at the time of publishing. The identified high-risk countries are now at a total of ten:

  • Italy
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • China
  • Iran
  • Germany
  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • France
  • Switzerland
