The hotel is owned and developed by the Amdec Group, and the opening marks the first purpose-built Marriott Hotel and the debut of Marriott Executive Apartments in South Africa.

The hotel features 306 guest rooms, two dining venues, seven meeting rooms, a ballroom, a 24-hour fitness centre, an outdoor heated swimming pool, and a pool bar. The 84 apartments, ranging from one-, two- and three-bedroom units, are located on the upper floors of the building, and offer a personalised service for travellers seeking a longer stay.
