Gondwana Collection Namibia has entered a marketing partnership with European group, Romantik Hotels and Restaurants, with the aim of promoting each other’s brands and putting a staff-exchange system in place.

Romantik is a new partner from Germany, one of Namibia’s major tourist source markets. "Romantik and Gondwana share the same values. It's about extraordinary experiences and personal hospitality. This connection fits perfectly," said Mannfred Goldbeck, Director of the Gondwana Collection.

Joint marketing activities are to be carried out through Romantik’s lifestyle magazine as well as Gondwana’s in-lodge publication and online presence. Accommodation will be mutually bookable via the partners’ respective distribution channels. 

"The partnership with Gondwana Collection opens up an all-new adventure for Romantik guests in exceptional accommodation establishments in Namibia. The Gondwana Lodges are as unique as the breath-taking nature in this African country," said Romantik CEO, Thomas Edelkamp.

The staff exchange system will offer African employees training and work opportunities in Europe, with reciprocal opportunities for Romantik employees in southern Africa.

The Romantik brand includes 200 hotels and 250 restaurants across nine European countries. Gondwana Collection Namibia is the brand’s first partner on the African continent.
