Jabulani in South Africa’s Kapama Private Game Reserve, and wildlife veterinary specialist Dr Johan Marais, will present an elephant workshop from December 6-9.
Guests will have the opportunity to observe elephants from a game-drive vehicle, and join Marais’ lectures, interactive presentations and discussions. They will learn about the elephants’ social structures, behavioural patterns, genetics, and the importance of wildlife areas and other mammal species, while gaining insight into the management of elephants in fenced reserves.
The workshop will cost R62 250 per person sharing, or R89 250 for single attendees. The rates include three nights’ accommodation at Jabulani in a Jabulani suite; all meals and locally branded beverages; the elephant workshop; daily safari activities and return transfers from the Hoedspruit Eastgate airport; and a US$80 donation to HERD.
Next year‘s dates are yet to be confirmed.
More information on the workshop can be found on the Jabulani website.
