The Urban Bliss Hotel was officially opened by President Edgar Lungu on July 5 in Kabwe, Central Province, Zambia.

The hotel has now become the first ever five-star hotel in Kabwe district.

President Lungu said that in order to attract investments in the tourism sector, his government has created an enabling environment which has seen local and foreign investors construct a series of hotels and lodges in various parts of Zambia.

Urban Bliss Hotel features 40 hotel rooms, a spa, salon, fitness centre, family restaurant and steakhouse restaurant, swimming pool and secure parking facility. Each room is equipped with a flat screen TV with DSTV, desk, charging ports, electronic safe, air conditioning, minibar fridge, en-suite bathroom and a range of complimentary bath soaps.

There is a Lounge Hall with private kitchen and built in projection and audio, visual features for up to 210 guests in cinema seating.

The hotel also has a conference hall and foyer with audio and visual features for approximately 300 guests in banquet seating and 550 guests in a cinema seating. There is a boardroom with private kitchen and bathroom that can accommodate 14 guests at a conference table and 30 guests in a cinema seating.

President Lungu says his government will continue to devise necessary and conducive conditions for the private sector to flourish. President Lungu noted that supporting the private sector in the journey towards expansion, will in turn lead to the development of the entire country.
