Machangulo Beach Lodge in the south of Mozambique recently completed a major upgrade and expansion to its facilities, and owner Christiaan Nolte said that the lodge will be launching a fresh new look soon.
Four new rooms have been added, taking it to a total of nine Ocean View Rooms. The rooms have panoramic sea views due to their raised location above the dune forest, and are a two-minute walk from the beach and only two minutes to the main dining area.
All rooms are fitted with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini bars, indoor showers with views, as well as private decks with views of the Indian Ocean and Inhaca Island. Each room sleeps two adults, however can also accommodate two children under the age of 16.
The swimming pool, seating area and fully equipped activity centre are being redesigned and will open down by the beach bar.
Although the new Maputo-KaTembe suspension bridge is now complete, the best way to access Machangulo is by a short one-hour boat trip across the bay of Maputo.
