Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) has appointed Aviareps to promote the island to the Saudi Arabian market.
The global PR and marketing company will be responsible for promoting the unique culture, pristine natural settings and family-fun tourism offerings to residents of Saudi Arabia, with a view to increasing visitor numbers to Mauritius.
Using a mix of marketing, digital marketing and public relations, Aviareps will look at raising the profile of the island as a year-round travel destination for families, honeymooners, holidaymakers, conferences and incentive groups.
Director of MTPA, Arvind Bundhun, says: “We are excited to work with Aviareps in Saudi Arabia to bring our message of welcome to travellers from the kingdom to come and experience the best that Mauritius has to offer. We are confident that with Aviareps’ well-established travel industry, airline and media networks, our objectives of receiving solid increases in travel demand from the market will be achieved.”
A number of marketing and promotional initiatives are in the pipeline for 2019, with some Arabic materials and a billboard campaign already completed.
