Victoria Falls Safari Lodge will see a new fitness room and pool deck being added to the property.
The US$150 000 (€121 590) project follows completion of the Victoria Falls Safari Club redevelopment last month, which included construction of a swimming pool and restaurant. The project is part of hospitality group, Africa Albida Tourism’s (AAT) drive to enhance its Zimbabwe offerings to tourists.
CEO of AAT, Ross Kennedy, says Victoria Falls is growing as a desired tourist destination in the country and, to optimise its venue for the boom in tourism, AAT will be adding these new amenities. Work will begin in June, and will include a complete upgrade and replacement of the pool deck, and installation of a fitness room beneath the deck. The glass-fronted, air-conditioned fitness room will be complimentary for guests, who will be able to spot wildlife at a nearby waterhole while exercising.
The Victoria Falls Safari Lodge pool will be closed from June 11 for five weeks.
