The newly launched Limpopo High Flyer Market Access Programme, a collaborative project between the Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (Satsa) and Limpopo Tourism Agency (LTA) that aims to identify provincial products and provide them with assistance, will run from December 2017 until June 2018.
It is based on the learning from the National SME Market Access Programme, a joint venture between South African Tourism and Satsa that resulted in the Indaba Hidden Gems. The High Flyer Programme expands on the previous project through a focus on packaging the products into a route, creating digital marketing collateral and hosting trade at the products to experience the offerings first-hand.
The Limpopo High Flyers Market Access Programme was developed to identify relevant provincial products, assist them with their tourism and marketing development needs through a learning workshop and peer-to-peer mentorship, and act as an immediate marketplace.
LTA CEO, Nomasonto Ndlovu, said: “Multi-destination travel is becoming increasingly popular, and Limpopo-based products provide easy linkages to Zimbabwe, Botswana and even Mozambique. It is our hope that the partnership will take Limpopo Tourism to another level as more products will feel motivated to do things differently.”
