We Are Africa will make an appearance in the US for the first time, at Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah from October 21-25, 2018.

The five-day pop-up event will combine thought leadership with curated business meetings and bonding experiences for 120 members, all of whom share a common purpose, to grow high-end travel from the US to Africa, as part of their continued mission to rebrand African travel.

The US is the top international source market for much of the We Are Africa members, offering substantial financial return potential, however challenges such as high in-country marketing costs and geographic scale make it challenging for suppliers to cover and reach the right buyers with traditional sales calls and marketing channels.

According to We Are Africa, there is an increase of 7% in travel from the US to Africa, with trips lasting between eight and 15 nights up 12% and trips over 15 nights showing a 10% increase.

All participants will stay onsite at Robert Redford’s Sundance Mountain Resort, and take part in an immersive business experience, from check-in on October 21 at 14h00 until check-out on October 25 at 11h00.
